The winner will be announced on November 14, 2012 in New York City.

Banned Books Week is an annual event that celebrates the freedom to read.  This year Banned Books Week is September 30 – October 6, 2012.  Banned Books Week is marking its 30th anniversary this year and continues to support the freedom to read and the harms of censorship.

Check out the display case outside the library to see books that have been banned in the US last year.  It may surprise you.

Bill Moyers, legendary journalist, has produced a video essay in honor of the 30th Anniversary of Banned Books Week.

The Destiny Quest mobile app let’s you use your mobile device to search the GHS library – anytime, anywhere.  You can view the books you have checked out, place holds, and create bibliographies.
